Alysia is a director, intimacy professional, and new work developer originally from Michigan, now based in Brooklyn. Her work is informed by her training at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, Theatrical Intimacy Education, and Kalamazoo College (B.A. Theatre Arts). As an artistic administrator, she has worked with institutions such as The Juilliard School, Peoples Improv Theatre, and The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. Experience in new work includes Complications of a Binary System (Director, SOOP Theatre Company), The Memory Of (Director, All Out Arts’ Fresh Fruit Festival, the wild project), and Moon School (Director & Developer, The Tank). Alysia is an Associate Member of SDC and was a nominee for the 2024 Barbara Whitman Award through SDCF.
